This policy covers financial institutions [Banks, Micro Finance, building/cooperative societies and housing finance]. An employer can also buy the policy to cover salary loans given to its employees.

The policy recovers the loan balance due to the policyholder in the event of premature death or total permanent disability of the borrower within the loan period, before completion of loan repayment.
